Bio

Vitor Pereira was born in 1979 in Porto (Portugal), where he started studying classical music graduating in classical guitar in 2003.

His interest in Jazz took him to participate in several workshops, private lessons and seminars around Europe with names like: Pat Metheny, Jonathan Kreisberg, Gilad Hekselman, Aaron Goldberg, Miguel Zenon, Perico Sambeat, Matt Penman, etc…
In 2004 he moved to London to study at Middlesex University where he finished a BA hons in Jazz under the tuition of Stuart Hall, Mike Outram, Chris Batchelor and Nikki Illes.

Resident in London since then, Vitor has been an active musician in the UK, Portugal and Europe, playing alongside musicians such as James Allsopp, Marc Demuth, Binker Goldings, Andre Canniere, Josh Arcoleo or Asaf Sirkis to name a few.

As a leader he released two records on the “F-IRE Presents” label in an energetic quintet with some of the most prominent and award winning musicians in London. “Doors” in 2012 and “New World” in 2016, both with excellent reviews.
